Christmas follows Advent beginning with the Christmas Vigil Mass, December 24, and ending with the feast of the Baptism of Jesus on January 9th.

Emmanuel — God is with us

We celebrate not only the significance of God being with us but of His actually being IN us!  Jesus is the perfect example of what God intended when God created humans “in our image and likeness.”  While both human AND divine, Christ, as a human, lived and taught what the Will of God is all about.  His conformity with God’s Will, as a human, is what we must commit to and continue to strive for in our humanness.

NOTE:  Several of the liturgies for the Christmas Season have readings with Longer and Shorter Forms.  Further, several of the liturgies have more than one choice of readings.  Check with the parish’s Liturgy Director or the Presider for the particular Mass whenever there is a choice to be made.
